Hilton Head Honeymooning

Our wedding and honeymoon plans were completely turned upside down by COVID, but we had decided that no matter what we would make the absolute best of the situation. We postponed our honeymoon to Jamaica and traded it in for a long weekend in Hilton Head and it was perfect!

Friday we woke up and had breakfast with our family before making the trip down to South Carolina! We arrived at our hotel that evening and we went out for a late dinner at the Crazy Crab. Noah had the crab legs and I went with the classic fried shrimp and it was delicious. Friday night ended with a walk on the beach at Coligny Park. The best part of Hilton Head in my opinion is free beach parking!! You'll understand if you live near Wrightsville or Carolina Beach.
Saturday we woke up early and hit the beach. On our way, we stopped at a great little breakfast place called the Bad Biscuit. I am a breakfast fanatic and went with the fried chicken and pimento cheese biscuit which I would highly recommend. Noah went with classic bacon, egg, and cheese. Later that day at the beach we found so many sand dollars, I had never seen them alive and in the water like that before so it was so cool to find them on the sand.
Noah got me a bike as a wedding present that matched his old one and we brought them to Hilton Head with us. We biked that afternoon to a spot called Coco's and got lots of yummy frozen drinks and then rode our bikes back down the beach and to the car. We had a late lunch/early dinner at the Frosty Frog, the coolest spot for daiquiris, and we concluded our Saturday with an ice cream date at the Frozen Moo!
Sunday, we relaxed and just had a lazy morning. We used our bikes to take a day trip out to Sea Pines and ate at the Salty Dog Cafe for lunch. After lunch, we did a little shopping and biked back which turned out to be quite exhausting because we ate so much for lunch. We had the best last night of vacation dinner at Poseidon's and watched the sunset over the water!
Monday morning we woke up, checked out of the hotel, and started our journey back home. Our sweet pup stayed with Noah's parents so we picked her up on the way and went home to start married life together! We've officially been married for two weeks and we're excited to spend more time together at home and make lots more memories together.
*Although we did go on a vacation, we followed all precautions to avoid the coronavirus and we wore our masks in public. We consider ourselves luckier than most because we get to celebrate such a special time and work from home together. Our thought and prayers are with anyone experiencing hardship during this time!*
